How We Test

How We Test

We buy the products we test with our own money. Then we live with them in our own homes before we write a word.

Our process, in order

  • Step 1. We measure the real shelf, drawer, or rail in a live home.
  • Step 2. We buy the item ourselves, with no free samples.
  • Step 3. We load it to the level a real household reaches every day.
  • Step 4. We use it for 30 days and note what fails first.
  • Step 5. We update the guide when a product changes or stops working.

What we do not do

  • We do not accept payment for a place in a list.
  • We do not copy a rating from another site or from reviews.
  • We do not recommend a product we have not held in our hands.
  • We do not promise a result that depends on buying more storage.
