1. The Short Version
Sets Quick (setsquick.com) uses affiliate links. If you click a link on this site and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That commission helps pay for hosting, tools, and the time it takes to test and review products. It does not change what we recommend.
2. Who We Are
Sets Quick is a home organization blog owned and run by Sarah, a solo operator. We write about pantry containers, closet systems, small-space storage, and whole-home decluttering. Our audience is women aged 28 to 55 in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
3. Affiliate Programs We Participate In
We are members of the following affiliate programs:
- Amazon Associates (US) — direct program, 3 to 8 percent commission depending on category, 24-hour cookie.
- The Container Store via Impact — 5 to 8 percent commission, 30-day cookie.
- Wayfair via CJ Affiliate — 3 to 7 percent commission, 7-day cookie.
- Walmart via Impact — 1 to 4 percent commission, 3-day cookie.
- Home Depot via Impact — 1 to 8 percent commission, 24-hour cookie.
- Etsy via Awin — 4 percent commission, 30-day cookie.
Commission rates and cookie windows are set by each retailer and can change without notice.
4. Amazon Associates Statement
Sets Quick is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
5. How We Choose Products
- We buy every product with our own money. We do not accept free products, review samples, PR gifts, or paid partnerships as of the Last Updated date.
- We do not run sponsored content. No brand pays us to write about their products. Every recommendation reflects genuine testing and personal use.
- We recommend products we have used or thoroughly researched. Our reviews include specific purchase dates, prices paid, retailer names, and honest flaws we found in real use.
- We include at least one non-Amazon merchant in every product review so you have alternatives.
- We name three price tiers (Budget, Mid-Range, Premium) in most Best-Of articles so every reader finds something in their budget.
- We disclose every affiliate link. Every article that contains affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top, above the fold.
If that ever changes (for example, if we accept a product sample or a paid partnership in the future), we will update this page and clearly label the relevant article.
6. How Affiliate Links Work
When you click one of our affiliate links, the retailer places a cookie in your browser. If you buy something within that retailer’s cookie window (from 24 hours to 30 days depending on the program), we earn a commission on that sale. You pay the same price whether you use our link or not.
We use link management tools (currently ThirstyAffiliates) to keep our links organized and to make sure broken or outdated links can be updated in one place.
7. What Affiliate Income Does and Does Not Do
- What it does: pays for hosting (Hostinger), design tools (Canva), our email service (MailerLite), the AI drafting pipeline that helps us produce content, and the coffee that fuels Sarah at 6 a.m.
- What it does not do: change our opinion of a product. Recommending a bad product for a bigger commission would break trust and destroy the site long-term. That is not a trade we are willing to make.
8. Editorial Independence
- Product picks are chosen before affiliate commissions are considered.
- If Product A performs better than Product B in our testing, we recommend Product A, even if Product B pays a higher commission.
- We publish honest flaws: broken lids, sticky drawers, hinges that fail after six months. If a product has a real problem in our home, we say so.
- We do not remove negative points from a review because of a commission.
Full details are in our Editorial Guidelines.
9. AI-Assisted Content and Reviews
We use an AI drafting pipeline (NaraRouter) to write first drafts. Sarah then adds:
- personal purchase dates, prices, and retailer names,
- real-world flaws and workarounds,
- specific comparisons with named alternatives.
AI does not choose which products we recommend. AI does not write our final opinions. Every review is signed off by Sarah before it goes live.
10. FTC Compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR Part 255, “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.” Every article that contains affiliate links carries a clear, conspicuous disclosure at the top of the article, above the first affiliate link. Example wording used site-wide:
This post contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
11. Amazon-Specific Rules We Follow
Because Amazon’s Operating Agreement has strict rules, we:
- do not display live Amazon prices on our pages (we describe price ranges instead),
- do not screenshot or copy Amazon product listings word-for-word,
- use the Product Advertising API or approved tools for any Amazon images and prices,
- keep our Amazon Associates tag visible in every Amazon link.
12. International Visitors
Affiliate cookies and disclosures apply to visitors from anywhere. If you visit from the UK, Canada, or the EU, the Amazon program you land on may be Amazon.com by default. Some links may redirect to your local Amazon store depending on your account settings.
13. Your Choices
- You are always free to visit Amazon, The Container Store, Wayfair, Walmart, Home Depot, or Etsy directly instead of using our links.
- If you use an ad-blocker or affiliate-link blocker, our links will not track and we will not earn a commission. The site still works.
- Nothing on Sets Quick is a “must buy.” Our goal is to save you time, not to push you into a purchase.
14. Questions
- Questions about a specific recommendation or how we tested a product: [email protected]
- Media inquiries or partnership proposals: [email protected] (please read Section 5 first — we currently do not accept sponsored content or free products)
15. Changes to This Disclosure
We will update this page whenever our affiliate relationships or content practices change. The Last Updated date at the top reflects the most recent change.
